Michael Hender

Michael Hender

Executive Chairman

Michael assumed the role of Executive Chairman in 2007 after establishing ECM in 1986 and completing 21 years as Managing Director. He provides board level leadership, mentoring and executive guidance to the senior executive team.

Michael’s extensive experience in large scale and complex remote projects in the Energy, Resource and Industrial sectors provides an enviable leadership base for the ECM Group.

Outside of ECM, Michael has held board positions with prominent Perth clubs, sporting organisations and the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), where he was the Industrial Chairman for 10 years and Vice President for two years.

Simon Higgins

Simon Higgins

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director

Since joining ECM in 1997, Simon was appointed General Manager in 2002 and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in 2011. He provides executive and strategic leadership to the entire ECM group.

With a strong background in complex and remote project delivery, Simon takes an active role in client relationships, business strategy and diversity.

Simon is the current Non-Executive Chairman of ASX listed Volt Power Group Limited (ASX: VPR) and a past chairman of the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) WA, Electrical Group Training (EGT) and the College of Electrical Training (CET).

Darryl Oldfield

Darryl Oldfield

Executive Director

Since joining ECM at its inception in 1986, Darryl was appointed Executive Director in 2011 and has been a Director and member of the ECM Board since 1997. Darryl is responsible for servicing major Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) relationships from conceptual design at inception through to project delivery, particularly in remote and alternative energy solutions.

Greg Bittar

Greg Bittar

Non-Executive Director

Greg was appointed as Non-Executive Director of ECM in 2012. Greg currently performs various consulting and advisory roles for ASX listed companies and brings to ECM broad ranging General Industrials and Resources sector experience from corporate finance and business strategy to client and investor relations.

Prior to ECM, Greg has held numerous positions, including Executive Director of Morgan Stanley, CEO and Managing Director of Sherwin Iron Limited and CEO of Batavia Mining.

Greg holds degrees in law and economics from the University of Sydney as well as a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.
