Project Overview

The Gorgon Project is a natural gas project involving the development of gas fields located off the northwest coast of Western Australia. The project will see the construction of a15.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility and a domestic gas plant built on Barrow Island, approximately 60 kilometres off the northwest coast of Western Australia.

Chevron Australia awarded CKJV, a joint venture between Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) and Kentz Pty Ltd, the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support contract for the construction of three LNG trains, including associated utilities and a domestic gas processing and compression plant.

ECM has been engaged by the JV to provide craft labour and supervision to facilitate the electrical component of these works.

Scope of Work

  • Supply of craft labour, supervision and support for the electrical and instrumentation installation works on the construction of three LNG trains
  • Provision of craft labour support for commissioning activities
