ECM has been awarded the electrical and instrumentation installation works associated with a major base power system upgrade on the HMAS Stirling Redevelopment Stage 3A Project. The project includes the upgrade and refurbishment of key infrastructure and facilities used by military personnel, Defence civilians, and staff from government and commercial contract agencies to meet HMAS Stirling’s operational and support demands until at least 2030.

The works have been consolidated into two electrical work packages, Electrical Package 1 (EP1), central emergency power system (CEPS) fitout, covering the above ground electrical installation, and Electrical Package 2 (EP2), HV Distribution, covering the below ground electrical installation.

Scope of Work

Major base power system upgrade including:

  • Construction of a new Central Emergency Power Station (CEPS) and replacement of the equipment within the existing CEPS to substantially increase the output capacity
  • 11kV and 22kV power distribution systems including new kiosk substations and removal of outdated equipment.
